This year we are preparing the second professional and "permanent" festival, which we need more than ever, to bring society together around art, make the artists whose origins have touched Anatolia known, visible, and to encourage hope and being goodness in people.

He graduated from Mersin Primary Teachers School in 1968 and was appointed to Denizli as a teacher. After teaching in various towns and villages of Denizli for six years, he enrolled at the Painting Department of Ankara Gazi Education Institute in the 1974-1975 academic year. After graduation in 1978, he was appointed to Denizli again, as an art teacher. In 1981, he held his first solo exhibition at the Denizli Provincial Public Library. He has held around 50 personal exhibitions at home and in various cities of Germany, and taken part in group exhibitions throughout Europe. The artist has been continuing his work in Mersin since 2017.
He was also a co-founder of Açı Art Gallery in Denizli in 2002, which held exhibitions of many notable names of Turkish painting and from abroad. As a result of his activities, his paintings are in various private collections including Türkiye İş Bankası, Esbank, State Museum of Painting and Sculpture, TÜYAP, and at the Ministry of Culture. He is a member of the United Painters and Sculptors Association.

Gazi Education Institute Department of Painting (1971). After working as an art teacher in different schools, he graduated from the Public Administration Institute of Türkiye and the Middle East with a master's thesis on "City and Plastic Arts" (1983). He continued his undergraduate program at Gazi University. During his time as a graphic designer at the Film-Radio and Television Education Center he made film strips, posters, book covers and illustrations, while also working on the generation of educational programming. He served as the Chairman of the Board of the United Painters and Sculptors Association (BRHD) between 1996 and 1998, and was also a lecturer at Gazi University. The artist has had many solo and group exhibitions, and is a frequent participant at the State Painting and Sculpture Exhibition. He also participated in the establishment of Çorum City Museum in 2009. The pure views of nature, which are the main theme of his paintings, are rendered with wide spaces and a clear color understanding. Figures also appear amidst an abundance of environmental impressions. The compositions, dominated by plain color schemes, make themselves heard with the choice of elements from nature. His pictures can be interpreted as a kind of musical composition using visual notes.

He started to work as a Visual Arts Teacher at the Ministry of National Education in 2002. He worked as a children's book illustrator in the "colorful heads" illustration team. He participated in many group exhibitions at home and abroad. In his drawings, he emphasizes nature-city-human relations. Buket Şahin was born in eastern Anatolian city of Malatya. As a daughter of a prominent author, she is raised in ISTANBUL with leftist intellectuals visiting their home often; a home with a huge library of over 20 thousand books.
After a happy and imaginative childhood reading world literature, she became fascinated with travel and the exploration of ancient cultures.
After graduating from Istanbul University, she moved to New York and pursued
MBA degree. A 10-year professional finance background on Wall Street, Buket Şahin gained an in-depth knowledge and understanding of economics in human behavior.
She also participated visual documentary classes at ICP in NYC and served on the board of Moon and Stars Project Foundation for 7 years.
Since 2013, she serves on the editorial board of Magma Magazine. She also worked as a freelance local producer-researcher for over 30 documentaries for international networks such as BBC, Smithsonian Channel and National Geographic.
Her extensive explorations and involvement with cultural projects allowed her to interview renowned authors such as Eduardo Galeano, Paul Auster and Chomsky.
Şahin travelled to over 50 countries with an interest in current affairs and cultural anthropology. Her first book "Latin Amerika 'Yakılan Bellekler': Burned Memories" was a collection of essays written on the road through 17 countries in Central and South America. Second book titled "Sınırların Ötesinde: Beyond the Borders" was a collection of interviews she conducted during her travels. Her third book “FRIDA: Conscience of Mexico" is dedicated to the women of Anatolian nomadic yoruks and Oaxaca's Zapotek weavers.
Her last published book "Manhattan Masalları: Manhattan Tales" is a compilation of essays reflecting her personal observations of NYC from 1991 to the present.
Buket is currently working on a new book titled "Living MAYA", a cultural anthropology comparison of Anatolian & Mayan civilizations.

Gokçe Erem is an accomplished violinist and violist based in New York City. Currently holding the concert-master chair for the national tour of the smash-hit broadway musical Hamilton, Erem has freelanced on numerous broadway shows including Phantom of the Opera, Moulin Rouge, Pretty Woman and Tootsie, and collaborated with many popular artists including Alessia
Cara, Julia Michaels, the WHO, the Eagles and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Erem also frequently plays with the American Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra now (TON) and served as principal second for the South Florida Symphony Orchestra for three seasons. She has played with many of the world’s leading soloists, including Joshua Bell, Lara St. John, Carter Brey, Zuill Bailey and Fazil Say and holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees, as well as an advanced Artist Diploma in violin performance.
GARRY IANCO violins
From studio recordings and Broadway musicals to orchestral and concerto appearances, Garry Ianco leads a varied international career.
An experienced concertmaster in both commercial and classical music, Mr. Ianco has performed in that capacity with the Albany Symphony, The Hamptons Festival of Music,Chelsea Opera, Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, and Terpsikord amongst many
others. Mr. Ianco was the concertmaster for Cameron Mackintosh’s production of The Phantom of the Opera. As an ensemble member, Mr. Ianco has performed with the Santo Domingo Festival Orchestra, The Bellingham Festival Orchestra, The Munich Symphony, The New Haven Symphony,
and with various ensembles in New York City and abroad.
Mr. Ianco has performed in the Broadway productions of Miss Saigon, Cats, Carousel, Phantom of the Opera, Evita, and West
Side Story.

Hakan A. Toker is a Turkish pianist-composer who often specializes in bringing together
the East and West in his creations. He holds a double bachelor's degree in piano and
composition from Indiana University, USA (2000). Jazz, ethnic music and various forms of improvisation are among his areas of expertise.
Up to date, Toker has performed in 28 countries, recorded 14 solo albums and and many more ensemble albums. Among his awards are "Performer of the Year" (Global Music Awards, USA) and "Our Living Values" (Mersin Cultural Festival, Turkey).
He is the first person to utilize microtonal tuning in piano recitals of Turkish traditional
music since 2011. He created the first fully microtonal symphony orchestra (Turkish
Rhapsody, 2022) combining the Turkish makam system with Western polyphony to a full capacity never achieved before on stage.
He is the author of the book "Traditional Turkish Music for Piano" (Müzik Eğitimi Publications) featuring his arrangements for piano students.
He is one of few remaining pianists of the Lisztian tradition that continue the 19th century art of classical improvisation on the stage.
His output as a composer and arranger encompasses over 500 works in many styles
including Western classical, jazz, Turkish and electronic music as well as eclectic works
combining these styles into unique concoctions; written for all kinds of media ranging from solo instruments to symphonic and stage music.

Beyza Yazgan is a Turkish pianist and composer (b.1989) She performed in such renowned venues as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Abrons Art Center for New York Electroacoustic Music Festival, Teatro Alfieri in Italy, and curated multiple fundraiser concerts.
In 2014, she got a PhD degree in piano performance from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory and in 2018, Professional Studies Diploma from Mannes School of Music at The New School. She has won numerous competitions and performed as a soloist in her native Turkey and in the United States. She has also organized and performed benefit recitals at the British and Italian Embassies in Istanbul to raise awareness for childhood cancers and Syrian refugees.
Beyza has taken part in masterclasses by world renowned artists Gary Graffman, Oxana Yablonskaya, Richard Goode, Vladimir Feltsman, Boris Berman, Jeffrey Swann and Solomon Mikowsky, and has participated in international music festivals.
Her self produced debut album, 'To Anatolia: Selections from the Turkish Five’, was released by Bridge Records in 2021 and has been praised for its high-level artistry by classical music magazines such as Gramophone, The WholeNote. Besides performing classical music repertoire, she is teaching at her piano studio and working on her upcoming album consisting of original pieces.

Sila Senturk named as one of the “Women Stars of Tomorrow” by the Istanbul Foundation of Culture and Arts in 2021, Sıla Senturk is a recent recipient of The Borusan Kocabıyık Foundation grant as well as the Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı Foundation grant.
Senturk was selected as a Steinway & Sons prize winner at the 2018 Bilkent Piano Festival. Additionally, she was awarded the San Giacomo Festival Prize at the Lunigiana International Music Festival and won rst prize in Valetta International Piano Competition in Malta. In 2017, she made her orchestral debut performing M. Ravel’s G Major Piano Concerto with the Eskisehir State Symphony under the baton of Işın Metin.
Sıla is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at Manhattan School of Music.

East (micro-tonal modes, odd time signatures, the ud, etc.) meets west (harmony, arrangements, piano, etc.) to create a new musical environment.

Marius is a winner of the Pathways to Jazz Awards. After moving from Amsterdam to Brooklyn, New York, Marius has performed and recorded with well-known artists such as Jeff 'Tain' Watts, Joel Frahm, Fransesco Mela, Ingrid Jensen, Ara Dinkjian, Sean Jones, Haley Reinhart, the Birdland Bigband and the Tonkunstler Orchestra.

Aslihan Erkisi (January 29, 1978 Germany) is a professional singer, composer, choir director, Kemenche and Qanun player and a scholar of music education.
She has a first place graduation degree at Istanbul Technical University,
She completed her Master’s Degree in the department of Education Sciences at Yeditepe University.
Also she is PHD student in Musicology.
Between 2009 and 2016 she gave lectures on repertoire at Istanbul Technical University Conservatory.

My name is Antonio Truyols. I am a Latino pianist and composer of Peruvian, Spanish, and Puerto Rican descent. I am an American, born and raised in Maryland, in the suburbs of Washington, DC.
I studied jazz and classical in college, but I play any music that makes me happy. My wife, Gizem, is a classically-trained violist from Turkey who shares my artistic vision, and we make music together and with others.
Truyols Music quickly evolved into a multi-genre collection of music projects.

Ali Kahya a longtime professional entertainer, is a diversely skilled musician, playing and singing in both eastern and western styles. Ali began pursuing study of the double bass at the State Conservatoire in Istanbul. During his years at conservatory, he concentrated on the study of Western music, and performed with the symphonic orchestra.
Once he had completed his education, Ali decided to jump the pond to New York City. There, he quickly began performing as a pianist, and taught music in New York public and private schools, giving lectures. During his tenure there, he performed for numerous Turkish heads of state as well as during the democratic convention for Bill Clinton at Bryant Park, and shared the stage with other notable entertainers. More recently, Ali has not only been performing in the New York area, but also throughout the United States and international, While he is renowned for his renditions of Turkish music, he continues to perform in a wide variety of styles in theatrical and concert settings, Ali is proudly working as a music director for Vatan Choir.
